Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a respected healthcare team in Brunswick, GA. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced imaging professional who wants a stable day-shift schedule, no weekends, and the ability to work in a collaborative hospital environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and confident performing nuclear medicine procedures while maintaining high standards for safety, image quality, and patient care.

Schedule

Day shift with rotating start times:

  • 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM

Additional schedule details:

  • No weekends
  • No weekly call
  • Holiday call only, shared between all staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures using appropriate equipment and protocols.
  • Position patients properly to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Explain procedures, obtain patient history, and help patients feel comfortable throughout the exam.
  • Monitor radiation exposure and follow radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and self.
  • Process and enhance images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Perform quality control checks and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support compliance with department policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other imaging team members to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

  • Nuclear Medicine Technology certification required or eligible, based on facility requirements.
  • Previous nuclear medicine experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, imaging protocols, and patient care standards.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and excellent patient experience.
