Job Title: Family Medicine Physician
Location: Lee's Summit, Missouri
Base Salary: $240,000
Shift: Full-time, 32 clinical hours per week (4.5-day work week)
Weekend Requirements: One Saturday per month (8 AM - 1 PM) with compensatory days off before and after
On-Call: Minimal; 1:26 rotation with triage team handling calls until 6 PM
Job Overview:
This position offers an opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join a patient-centered, community-based clinic providing comprehensive primary and sports medicine care for patients of all ages. The practice recently expanded into a new facility, creating room for continued growth. Physicians enjoy a balanced schedule, excellent clinical support, and access to onsite ancillary services while focusing on preventative care, chronic disease management, and sports medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care for pediatric, adult, and senior patients
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies, wart removal, toenail removal, IUD insertion/removal, and other minor dermatologic procedures
- Provide preventive care and wellness services including physicals and immunizations
- Read and interpret X-rays, utilizing radiology group backup when necessary
- Collaborate with an experienced clinical team including nurses, diabetic educators, and virtual medical scribes
- Participate in shared call coverage and maintain quality documentation in Oracle Health EMR
- Provide patient education and encourage healthy lifestyle practices
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and practice efficiency optimization
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Current and valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of Missouri
- Strong background in outpatient primary care with experience in preventative and chronic disease management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior outpatient clinic experience preferred
- Interest in sports medicine or experience managing musculoskeletal conditions
- Familiarity with risk-adjusted coding (support available through certified coders)
