About the job Inventory Clerk

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and ensuring that all products are properly stored and accounted for. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

 Receive and process incoming inventory and supplies

Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments

 Prepare and maintain reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies

 Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy of records

Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products

 Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area

 Assist with other duties as assigned

 Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times

 Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company?s standards

 Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count

 Implementing loss prevention programs to prevent theft

 Assist Purchasing with obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs

Qualifications:

 High school diploma or equivalent

 Prior experience in inventory management or related field preferred

 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

 Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software

Physical Requirements:

 Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time

 Ability to operate a forklift or other heavy machinery (training provided)
