Radiologic Technologist
Job Description:
We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine radiological x-ray and CT procedures. The role involves providing direct patient care, ensuring safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Perform x-ray and CT procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper patient positioning for accurate images.
- Provide direct patient care across all age groups.
- Explain procedures to patients, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures, patient information, and anomalies observed.
- Document radiation doses administered.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance, punctuality, and safety guidelines.
- Comply with organizational policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiography Program.
- 1-2 years of Radiology or X-Ray experience.
- Required Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Registry eligible, obtained within one year of hire.
- Organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
- Proficiency in grammar/spelling.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Basic computer and general clerical skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a well-lit, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels.
- Possible exposure to high noise levels and bright lights.
- Potential exposure to limited hazardous substances and infectious organisms.
- Requirement to switch between tasks of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- May be scheduled as needed, including overtime.
Physical Requirements:
- Near-normal vision with clarity at various distances and ability to distinguish colors.
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motions.
