About the job Assistant Contract Manager (Grounds)

We are seeking an experienced full-time Assistant Contracts Manager to supervise a team of Grounds operatives in the Bedford area.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coach, lead, direct and motivate a small team of Operatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to deliver a flexible contract SLA and associated service specifications.
  • Conduct regular reviews of sites to ensure teams are delivering the service specifications.
  • Develop, build and strengthen client and resident relationships.
  • Ensure service teams are compliant with Health, Safety and Quality business practices.
  • Ensure service teams are compliant with Environmental business practices.
  • Support Continual Professional Development (CPD) of employees and residents alike.
  • Resolve any site complaints, problems or difficulties within the agreed time frame
  • Ensure all bids/quotes are submitted on time in accordance with both client requirements and company procedure
  • Review and improve contract performance

What are we looking for?

  • Prior experience managing a grounds maintenance team.
  • Full Clean UK Manual driving licence needed, vehicle provided.
  • IT literate (use of tablet, smart phone apps).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written (English).
  • Administration and Coordination skills.
