Apprentice Mobile Grounds Operative (Horticulture)
Pay rate - £12.21 per hour
Do you have a passion for Landscaping and Horticulture?
We have an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity in North/North West London, working with experienced colleagues to carry out grounds maintenance to required specifications for one of our prestigious social housing partners.
You'll be working 37.5 hours a week (ranging between 7am - 3:30pm), working with us 4 days a week and from September 2025, start to attend college 1 day a week to study for level 2 in Horticulture, a course designed for those that are new to horticulture or have basic knowledge and skills.
We have partnered with Capel Manor college to deliver the apprenticeship, where you have a choice of attending either Enfield or Regents Park 1 day a week from September.
A full Manual UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
Duties during the 4 days will include:
- Use of petrol driven equipment for Lawn Cutting & Hedge Pruning
- Weeding and bed maintenance of existing borders
- Shrub pruning as required
- Litter Picking & Sweeping
- Continuous development throughout the apprenticeship programme
We will provide in-house training covering Risk Assessment, PPE, Use of machinery, basic maintenance and safety checks

- Ability to implement Health and Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices
- Full, manual UK driving license
- Be prepared to undertake a DBS check (We cover the cost of carrying out a DBS check)
