We are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for our Facilities Services Business in West Byfleet.

  • Monday to Friday 
  • 8am - 4pm (flexible, e.g. 7am start)
  • 37.5 hours per week 
  • Up to £35,000 a year 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Lead in the receiving and dispatching of stock and stock management.
  • Lead user of the IT based stock management systems.
  • Required to motivate and supervise a small team.
  • Conduct monthly stock takes and maintain the warehouse to high standards.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Efficient Use of Resources: Optimize space and mechanical handling equipment to meet quality, budget, and environmental goals.
  • Health and Safety Standards: Ensure the work environment meets health, safety, hygiene, and security standards, including safe storage of items like chemicals.
  • Customer and Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, including contract managers, suppliers, and the finance department.
  • Profitability Management: Ensure profitability by maintaining budgeted levels for each contract and ensuring value for money.
  • Support for Business Development: Assist the business development team with new opportunities and sourcing products for new contracts.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement systems and processes to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently.
  • Cost Management: Ensure correct allocation of cost codes for goods inwards and outwards, as well as invoice cross-referencing for accurate cost and credit card statements.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience of warehouse management and stock control.
  • Numeracy and an understanding of finance for stock management.
  • People management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a small team, delegate work and explain ideas.
  • PC literate with experience of Excel, Word and Databases.
