Finance Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, invoicing, forecasting, and bookkeeping. In addition, hands-on experience with US taxes and accounting principles is crucial. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, capable of overseeing financial activities, ensuring accuracy, and driving financial strategy to support our company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable:
- Oversee and manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitor cash flow and manage collections to maintain healthy financial operations.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for various departments and projects.
- Prepare financial forecasts and reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.
Invoicing:
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Monitor and track outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
- Implement and maintain invoicing procedures to enhance efficiency.
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks to support accurate financial reporting.
US Taxes & Accounting:
- Handle all aspects of US tax compliance, including preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Provide guidance on tax planning and strategy to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance and key metrics.
- Assist with audits and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role with expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, invoicing, forecasting, and bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with US tax regulations and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
