Job Opportunity: Construction Contracts Manager (Industrial Sector)

Location: Downtown Toronto
Work Arrangement: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 CAD, plus performance-based bonus and benefits (including RRSP matching).

Our client, a leading architecture firm, is seeking an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to oversee contracts for $30M-$70M CAD industrial projects. This role focuses on institutional and industrial builds, including hospitals, daycare facilities, schools, Long-Term Care projects, and large-scale industrial developments. Reporting to the Principal, you will leverage your expertise in CCDC-2 contracts and government agency processes to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer CCDC-2 contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to streamline contract processes.
  • Manage institutional and industrial construction projects while navigating government regulations and requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contract risks to protect project timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee contract documentation, approvals, and project execution to maintain contractual integrity.
  • Independently manage contract administration during the construction phase for multiple projects.
  • Represent the firm to Owners, Contractors, and regulatory bodies, requiring strong subject-matter expertise and confidence in contract management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction contract management for $30M-$70M CAD projects within the industrial and institutional sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of CCDC-2 contracts and government procurement processes.
  • Institutional project experience (hospitals, daycare facilities, schools, Long-Term Care projects) and industrial construction experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with government and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to independently oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with industry standards.
