Job Summary: The Painter is responsible for providing high-quality painting and finishing services for Isuzu commercial vehicles. This role requires extensive knowledge of automotive painting techniques, the ability to use specialized equipment, and a keen eye for detail to ensure a flawless finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and masking off areas as needed
- Mix and apply paint, primers, and other finishing materials according to manufacturer specifications
- Utilize advanced painting equipment, such as spray guns and compressors, to achieve a consistent and professional finish
- Perform color matching to ensure a seamless integration with the vehicle's existing paint
- Carefully inspect completed paint jobs to identify and address any imperfections or defects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Assist in the storage and inventory management of painting supplies and materials
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest painting techniques and materials
- Collaborate with other service technicians and the parts team to ensure efficient and timely vehicle turnaround
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced painters, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience as a professional painter, preferably in the automotive industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive painting techniques, including surface preparation, priming, and application of top coats
- Proficiency in the use of spray guns, compressors, and other specialized painting equipment
- Excellent color matching and blending skills to achieve a flawless finish
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address any imperfections
- Familiarity with paint mixing, matching, and application procedures
- Understanding of relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficient in Arabic and English, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license and the ability to test drive vehicles as needed
