About the job Network Infrastructure Manager
We're seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our clients team. As a key member of our clients IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing their network infrastructure services. Your expertise will ensure seamless network operations, high availability, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Administration
- Manage and configure network infrastructure components, including routers, firewalls, switches, and telecommunication links
- Implement network security measures, including firewall rules, patches, and security hardening
- Perform network upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery operations
Incident & Problem Management
- Provide 2nd-level network support, resolving incidents and problems within established SLAs
- Perform problem diagnosis, propose and implement measures to prevent recurrence
Change & Release Management
- Collaborate with the team to plan, schedule, and release network system changes
- Ensure adherence to change management processes and procedures
Configuration Management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive configuration database/library of IT infrastructure components
Capacity & Performance Management
- Monitor network capacity, perform planning and optimization
- Conduct performance tuning to ensure optimal network performance
Process Management
- Develop and implement IT service management processes, aligning with corporate security policies and guidelines
Project Management & Support
- Provide infrastructure support for projects, ensuring timely delivery
- Manage infrastructure enhancement/upgrade projects, adhering to established project management guidelines
Documentation
- Develop and maintain technical and process documentation for IT infrastructure
Requirements:
Qualification
- Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- Preferably attained CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCSA, CCSE
Experience and Technical Skills Set
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment
- Supervisory experience, with good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office tools
