About the job Head of Footwear Quality

Our client, a globally recognized Swiss footwear and sportswear brand, is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Footwear Quality in Vietnam to lead quality strategy and execution across their global product portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving quality initiatives, implementing global standards, and ensuring compliance across all footwear product categories.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality standards for all footwear products across global markets.
  • Ensure all products meet internal quality benchmarks, compliance regulations, and customer expectations
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality Assurance teams in Zurich and other on-site quality teams worldwide.
  • Oversee product compliance and testing protocols, ensuring alignment with international standards.
  • Manage quality risk assessments, identify root causes of quality issues, and implement effective preventive measures
  • Lead quality-related audits, assessments, and improvement initiatives with suppliers and production partners.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent application of quality plans and standards
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation in quality management.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of quality management experience in high-performance consumer products, with a strong focus on footwear products.
  • Proven experience in setting and executing quality standards in global manufacturing environments.
  • Strong track record in cross-functional collaboration with international teams.
  • Deep understanding of product testing, compliance, and risk management processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a drive for manufacturing excellence.
  • Native to a complex reporting organization, you are highly collaborative
  • Willingness to travel frequently (the role is based in Vietnam, with regular travel to Zurich, Indonesia, and China).
  • Fluent in English
