Regional Sales Director – SAP, Data & AI

This role owns end-to-end commercial growth across enterprise SAP transformations and AI-led digital initiatives in Southeast Asia. The position combines direct enterprise selling, ecosystem orchestration, and partner-led go-to-market execution, with a mandate to originate, shape, and close complex, multi-stakeholder programs tied to measurable business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Enterprise SAP Sales & Business Development

  • Own the full SAP sales lifecycle, from origination and qualification through solution shaping, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.

  • Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned to enterprise digital transformation priorities, spanning cloud ERP, platform innovation, and data-driven transformation programs.

  • Drive new revenue through cloud ERP adoption programs, platform-based extensions, business process transformation, and industry-specific solutions delivered in partnership with ecosystem players.

  • Partner closely with solution architects, industry leads, and strategic account owners to produce value-led proposals anchored in commercial, operational, and financial outcomes.

  • Represent the organisation at regional partner forums and industry events to strengthen executive relationships and market presence.

  • Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to continuously refine positioning and sales approach.

SAP Partnership & Ecosystem Leadership

  • Act as the primary commercial interface with SAP regional and local teams to drive joint planning, co-sell execution, and pipeline development.

  • Build and maintain senior relationships across hyperscalers, consulting partners, and ISVs to extend reach and accelerate deal velocity.

  • Lead structured joint business planning with SAP and key partners, including pipeline targets, marketing initiatives, and field execution cadence.

  • Maintain strong credibility and visibility within the SAP ecosystem through active participation in regional programs and alliance activities.

  • Stay closely aligned to SAPs product and platform roadmap to position the organisation as a trusted transformation and co-innovation partner.

AI Sales & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Own and drive AI-led commercial opportunities across applied AI, data and analytics, intelligent automation, and industry-specific AI solutions.

  • Identify, qualify, and shape AI opportunities both as standalone initiatives and as part of broader SAP-led transformation programs.

  • Position AI as a business value accelerator, translating technical capabilities into executive-level outcomes such as productivity, risk reduction, and revenue growth.

  • Develop and execute AI-specific go-to-market motions aligned to regional priorities and industry focus areas.

  • Collaborate closely with AI architects, data scientists, and delivery leaders to convert technical capabilities into commercially viable offerings.

  • Lead C-suite conversations on AI strategy, adoption roadmaps, governance, security, and responsible AI in regulated or mission-critical environments.

  • Build and manage a robust AI pipeline through direct selling, partner co-sell motions, and joint account planning.

Performance, Insight & Collaboration

  • Track pipeline health, deal progression, and forecast accuracy through CRM and executive dashboards.

  • Translate sales and market insights into clear recommendations for regional leadership and executive stakeholders.

  • Work closely with delivery and commercial teams to ensure smooth transition from sale to execution and to protect margin integrity.

  • Partner with marketing teams on targeted campaigns, customer stories, and thought leadership that reinforce SAP- and AI-led value propositions.

Skills & Attributes

  • Established network and credibility within the SAP ecosystem across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific.

  • Proven success in enterprise SAP sales and partnership-led growth within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, cloud ERP adoption programs, and SAP platform technologies, with the ability to anchor discussions in business value.

  • Demonstrated ability to sell AI and data-driven solutions to C-level executives, translating complexity into commercial outcomes.

  • Experienced in executive-level engagement across large enterprises, hyperscalers, and consulting partners.

  • Strategic, data-driven, and disciplined in sales execution with strong deal governance.

  • Strong executive presence, consultative selling skills, and stakeholder management capability.

  • Highly self-directed and collaborative, operating autonomously while aligning to regional and global priorities.

  • Builds high-performance ways of working grounded in trust, clarity, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology; MBA preferred.

  • Relevant AI or data certifications from recognised institutions or providers.

  • 10–15 years of experience in enterprise technology sales and strategic partnerships within the SAP or systems integration ecosystem.

  • Track record of closing complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise deals and executing partner-led go-to-market strategies.
