Our Client, a leader in aerospace solutions, is seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to own and grow revenue across the Military and Commercial Aerospace OEM and Aftermarket channels. You will be responsible for the complete sales process - from opportunity identification to close and account expansion.
This is a hunter + farmer role. Your primary focus will be on developing new and existing OEM relationships, with future growth into direct airline accounts.
What You Will Do:
1. Sales & Business Growth
- Own your territory's revenue target and build a robust pipeline to consistently exceed quota.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business while expanding share of wallet within strategic existing accounts.
- 50%+ travel to be present with customers at their corporate offices, MRO facilities, depots, and military bases.
- Monitor market activity, competitor moves, and customer buying trends to proactively manage risk and uncover opportunities.
2. Customer & Partner Management
- Serve as the main point of contact and trusted advisor for customers across Procurement, Engineering, Materials, Quality, and Program Management.
- Lead joint sales efforts with strategic distribution partners and internal stakeholders.
- Present Our Client's capabilities and solutions in a way that solves real customer problems, not just sells products.
- Manage the full customer lifecycle - from pre-sales engineering alignment to post-sales satisfaction and issue resolution.
3. Strategy & Operations
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and pre-call strategies. Deliver clear post-visit debriefs with market intelligence and next steps.
- Register and actively manage Our Client's presence on US Government and Military e-sourcing platforms, RFQ boards, and bidding portals.
- Work in a matrixed environment - closely aligning with Product Management, FMS Programs, Finance (for collections), and Compliance teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to Export Compliance and documentation requirements.
- Maintain disciplined use of CRM and other sales tools for pipeline, reporting, and intelligence sharing.
What You Bring:
- Experience: Direct B2B sales in aviation / aerospace. Must have proven success selling to Aerospace OEMs. Military aftermarket and/or commercial aftermarket experience is a strong advantage.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or related Engineering field preferred.
- Access: Must be able to obtain access to visit US military installations and facilities.
- Skills: Exceptional relationship builder, negotiator, and closer. You can speak both engineering and business. Highly organized, able to juggle multiple deals, and thrive under urgency. High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Mindset: Self-starter, team-first attitude, uncompromising ethics, and willing to work flexible hours to get the deal done.
