About the job VP of Marketing and Student Recruitment

VP of Marketing & Student Recruitment | University Project

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Role: Founding Executive Team (Reporting to the President)

The Mission

As the Vice President of Marketing & Student Recruitment, you are the architect of the university's growth engine. You will design and execute a comprehensive strategy to build a globally relevant brand and a high-quality student pipeline. This is not a "maintenance" role—you are building the systems, the team, and the market presence for a modern, future-focused institution from the ground up.

Core Responsibilities (The "Build")

  • Institutional Positioning: Craft a globally credible brand that balances innovation with academic prestige.
  • Strategic Enrollment: Define and hit growth targets that prioritize student quality and diversity over sheer volume.
  • Market Development: Lead domestic and international recruitment across all channels (partnerships, digital, and direct outreach).
  • Conversion Excellence: Build the full recruitment funnel—from initial awareness to enrollment—using advanced CRM and data-analytics frameworks.
  • Admissions & Scholarships: Design selection and scholarship criteria that align with the university's mission and long-term sustainability.
  • Leadership & Governance: Serve on the University Management Team to align market demand with academic portfolio development and tuition pricing.

Candidate Profile (The DNA)

  • Experience: 12–18+ years of senior leadership in Higher Education marketing, enrollment, or institutional growth.
  • Scale Muscle: Proven track record of scaling a university or campus, particularly in emerging markets (Vietnam experience is a major plus).
  • Analytical Rigor: A data-driven decision-maker who understands "Enrolment Intelligence" and forecasting.
  • Leadership: Experience managing large, cross-functional teams and navigating complex stakeholder environments (Academic vs. Commercial).
  • Global Mindset: High cultural intelligence with the ability to engage both local parents and international partners.
