Functional Consultant – Dynamics 365 Business Central
6-Month Contract
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Australia (Hybrid / Onsite as required)
Were working with a manufacturing organisation currently delivering a Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation and are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant to support the critical business-facing phases of the program.
This role is heavily focused on UAT ownership, process mapping, and end-user training, ensuring the solution is fit for purpose and fully embedded into manufacturing operations.
The Role
Youll operate as the key functional interface between the business and delivery teams, owning testing, documentation, and user enablement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full ownership of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- UAT planning and strategy
- Test case creation and execution
- Defect triage, resolution coordination, and business sign-off
- Leading process mapping workshops across manufacturing and operational teams
- Documenting current-state and future-state processes
- Translating operational requirements into functional specifications
- Designing and delivering end-user training
- Training materials, user guides, and hands-on sessions
- Supporting change management and system adoption
- Acting as the functional SME for Business Central within a manufacturing context
- Working closely with developers, and project leadership to ensure delivery alignment
About You
Youre a practical, business-focused functional consultant who is comfortable working on the floor with stakeholders as well as in structured delivery environments.
Youll bring:
- Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant
- Strong hands-on experience owning UAT for ERP implementations
- Solid process mapping and business analysis capability
- Experience delivering training to operational and non-technical users
- Exposure to manufacturing environments (sales, production, supply chain, inventory, finance)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
Experience across manufacturing operations, inventory, supply chain, or finance modules will be highly regarded.
