ArcGIS Developer (with FME Expertise) 6-Month Contract

About the Role

We're partnering with a leading organisation in the electricity utilities sector to recruit an experienced ArcGIS Developer with strong FME experience.

You'll play a key role in delivering spatial solutions, system integrations, and enterprise-level GIS enhancements within a modern, cloud-enabled environment.

This role suits a technically strong GIS professional who enjoys complex problem-solving, collaboration across engineering and IT teams, and contributing to transformation projects that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain custom GIS applications using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabases

Design and execute advanced ETL workflows using FME Desktop and FME Server

Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems such as Hexagon GIS and SAP S/4HANA Rise

Configure and support ArcGIS Electric Network Models, including future migration to Esris Utility Network Model (UNM)

Collaborate with engineering, design, IT, and operations stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable geospatial solutions

Document processes and provide ongoing technical support to internal users and project teams

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in GIS development roles

Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS technologies ArcPy, ModelBuilder, Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder

Advanced proficiency in FME for spatial data transformation and automation

Excellent understanding of geospatial data models, topology, and coordinate systems

Programming ability in Python, JavaScript, or equivalent scripting languages

Experience with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle)

Desirable:

Exposure to Hexagon GIS (GeoMedia, G/Technology)

Experience in the electricity utilities sector or network modelling

Familiarity with Esri Utility Network Model (UNM)

Cloud-based GIS experience (Azure or AWS)
