Data, Analytics & AI Practice Leader

Our client is a global technology, consulting and engineering organisation seeking a Data, Analytics & AI Practice Leader to build and grow its Australian utilities capability to assist in driving key accounts and grown the business unit.

This senior role will focus on applying AI, advanced analytics and connected asset data to improve asset performance, operational efficiency and network resilience, particularly across electricity distribution networks and associated utilties.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Define and execute the Data and AI strategy
  • Develop market-ready solutions for Asset Intelligence and Operational Excellence
  • Build relationships with senior utility stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities and support bids and proposals
  • Shape solutions across predictive maintenance, asset health, risk and network optimisation
  • Oversee program delivery, governance and commercial outcomes
  • Build internal capability and represent the business through industry thought leadership

About You

You will bring:

  • Strong Data, AI or machine learning experience within utilities or infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Australian electricity distribution networks and AER requirements
  • Experience across IT, OT, IoT, digital twins or asset management platforms
  • Understanding of asset health, predictive analytics and operational decision-making
  • Strong consulting, commercial and senior stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of standards such as IEC CIM, ISO 14224 or ISO 55000
  • A relevant engineering, technology or data qualification

Experience delivering solutions to Australian electricity distribution businesses will be highly regarded.
