BI Analyst – Power BI | SQL | Snowflake | AWS
📍 Perth WA | 🗓 Initial 6-Month Contract | 🚀 Immediate Start (1st May)
A leading organisation is seeking a BI Analyst to join their data team on an initial 6-month engagement, with a strong likelihood of extension. This role will suit someone who thrives in data-driven environments and can translate complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
You'll play a key role in shaping reporting capability, improving data visibility, and supporting decision-making across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Work across Power BI Service to manage datasets, pipelines, and deployments
- Build and optimise data models (facts, dimensions, SCDs)
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and transform data
- Develop robust logic using DAX and Power Query (M)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights
- Work with modern enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, AWS)
What You'll Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop & Service
- Advanced capability in DAX and Power Query (M)
- Solid SQL skills across large datasets
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles (star schema, SCDs, dimensional modelling)
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and/or AWS
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable insights
