Title: Projects Manager
Qualification: B.Sc. Degree in Eng'g (Preferably in Elect'l/Mech'l/Instr. field)
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Special Skills: Projects Managers with minimum experience in Design 10 years (oil & gas water & industrial). Knowledge of PC particularly in Windows environment & design engineering related softwares, Excellent in writing & conversation skills with marketing ability & flexibility to deal with all types of clients. Capability to promote the business and conduct business development.
Responsible for: Project Engineers
Experience (minimum): Projects Manager with minimum experience in Design work 8 years (oil & gas water & industrial). Minimum 10 years; 7 years of which shall be Design Management / Supervision Project Control, Estimating, Planning/Scheduling with minimum 3 years in managerial position. (Either in Proj. Management or Design Management)
Description of Duties: Preparation of scope of work and estimates for proposals. Review contract prior to bid negotiation Designate Project & Lead Engineers for the project and obtain concurrence with Client. Issue instruction to commence on award of Contract or receipt of service order. Review contracted scope of work and related estimates with Lead Engineers Submit to Top Management findings from the review of contracted work and budget. Perceive training needs of members in the project team and notify Top Management. Preparing and implementing quality plan for the project Identification of Quality records on project Review and approve Project Execution Plant (PEP) prepared by Project Engineer Conduct internal review meeting with Project Engineers and Lead Engineers Request Client for clarification of scope of work after review with Lead Engineers Verify with Client deficiencies and clarification required on Client data. Prepare & Attended kick-off meeting to resolve issues with Client. Approve request to be made to Client for plant access pass and processing of IDs. Determine the type of planning schedules required for project. Finalize and approve document distribution for project. Issue a list of Codes & Standards applicable to the project with issue dates. Review with Client waiver request and reissue revised list of Codes & Standards Designate custodian of documents received from Client. Review design concept and obtain Client approval. Interface with Client as regards project performance requirements Projects Manager to submit weekly progress report to Client for occurrence. Concurrence of weekly update of Project Schedule prepared by Project Engineer Changes in man-hours shall be reviewed by the Project Manager Approve project specific document control register. All correspondence to Client to be signed by Project Manager Conducting progress review meetings with Project and Lead Engineers Conducting progress meetings with Client Project Engineer Review and approve minutes of meeting prior to issue. Monitoring deliverables to verify compliance with contract requirements. Review constructability of design with Lead Engineers and resolve with Client. Conducting Quality awareness communication meetings with project team. Approve weekly timesheets and submit to Client. Assess cause for delays-agree new milestones and claims with Client. Certification of issue of drawings. Evaluate change requests and authorize work on changes. Authorize release of final submission Brief requirements for Closeout report Review and approve Closeout report. Review sub-contractors documents. Instruct methods of handling and storage of project documents Request for Technical Audit on project if appropriate Determine suppliers, contact potential suppliers to determine delivery dates. Review purchase orders and equipment list.
