Title: Engineer I

Process Qualification: B.Sc Degree in Chemical Eng'g

Reporting to: Project / Lead Engineer 

Special Skills: Process Engineer work with minimum 5 years (oil & gas - seawater desalination - industrial). Knowledge in PC particularly in Windows environment, must be capability to perform related engineering design calculation softwares. Excellent in writing & conversation skills with flexibility to deal with all types of clients and vendors.

Responsible for: Engineering activities in his Projects

Experience(minimum) Process Engineer work with minimum 5 years (oil & gas -seawater desalination - industrial). Engineering design experience; good overall knowledge of engineering principles. Should be able to supervise team of designers and office staff.

Description of DutiesWell Experienced in process engineering designs, calculations in accordance with International (ASME, API, NORSOK, ISO, IBC, ASTM, NFPA, IEC) and Local (Saudi ARAMCO) Industry Codes and Standards are highly preferred. Well Experienced in Process Engineering Calculation software such as ASPEN HYSYS, OLGA, AFT, HOMER Software, Synergy Pipeline Simulator, PIPENET and including in-house   softwares. Able to prepare Steady and Dynamic Flow Calculations for   Compressible and Incompressible Fluids Knowledge in Flaresim, DNV PHAST for Radiation Plotting and Gas Dispersion Modeling. Prepare Safety and Operational Philosophies, Cause and Effect Matrix, Control Narratives. Prepare Technical Specifications for Process Equipment such as Metering System, Filtration System, Gas Heating Systems, Pressure Reducing Systems. Knowledge in Process Automation for pipelines, process piping, equipment modelling is highly preferred. Well Experienced in evaluating Vendor technical Proposals.   Creation of datasheet of vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, PSVs Prepare Safety Instruction Sheets, Line List, Equipment List Prepare Process Flow Diagram, Material Selection Diagram, Heat and Material Balance and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams P&ID). Experienced in using SPPID, Microstation, AutoCADD. Notify Project Engineer in advance of the packages requiring inter-discipline check. To involve in inter-discipline checking of packages prepared by  other disciplines. Identification of changes in design, obtaining approval from Project Manager to proceed. Determine delivery time of equipment and identify alternatives if needed. Initiating request for Client approval of   alternatives Maintain register with status of all documents developed by the   discipline. Control usage of man-hours and monitor with allocation for the   discipline. Attended design review meetings and updated Project Engineer on progress and problems. Agree design review checklist with Project Engineer and use for checking documents. Agree man-hours for each activity on project the discipline is involved. Inform Project Engineer of any differences/ discrepancies in design from agreed concept
