Manufacturing Engineer NPI
As a Manufacturing Engineer NPI, you will be responsible for the manufacturing strategy of internal products and ensuring the manufacturing process by documenting and organizing the production flow, process FMEAs, and establishing Control Plans for High Precision components and modules. Additionally, you will support production in realizing and qualifying prototypes and pilots towards volume manufacturing, taking technical responsibility. You are also responsible for the technical release of new product documentation and acceptance regarding manufacturability.
Key features for fulfilling the role of Manufacturing Engineer NPI include:
Providing DfX (Design for Excellence) input and participating in development teams regarding manufacturability, both internally at VDL GL Precision and with the customer.
Ensuring the release and documentation of technical aspects.
Organizing and conducting review meetings with the customer and suppliers to resolve technical issues and achieve release.
Providing technical support to work preparation and assembly during proto and pilot production.
Being a team player and the point of contact for (technical) customer contact.
Tooling design for production.
Your profile
You have a BSc (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
You have experience with industrial manufacturing and engineering projects, preferably in the high-tech market.
You have knowledge of production processes.
You can independently design production tooling (in consultation with production).
Knowledge of CREO (Pro/Engineer) is a plus.
You are familiar with process control in production environments: process flow, P-FMEA, control plan, etc.
Personally, you are accurate, flexible, and driven to tackle challenges.
Given the central role of this position, you are customer-oriented, communicatively skilled, and have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.
