DTS Engineer
Job Description:
The Secure Managed File Transfer Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and monitoring platforms and solutions specific to the secure transfer and storage of data. This role will work with analysts, engineers, developers, external and internal clients to create and support production and non-production processes. They will act as the technical liaison between various IT towers, providing critical operational insight into planned implementations and strategies, including the validation of an ongoing solutions supportability.
Provide primary support to evaluate, architect, install and configure Enterprise Managed File Transfer Solutions Ability to research, plan and onboard new and existing solutions into the team.
Develop custom scripts and APIs as required to support business objectives and team requirements.
Create automated data transfers, sftp accounts and workflows within Data Transfer services Applications as requested through Service Now ticketing system.
Understand schedule concepts and techniques.
Use working knowledge of file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, S3 etc. to create and configure data transfers.
Provide support and monitoring for Data Transfer Applications during core business hours and after hours as needed Research, resolve and respond to trouble tickets and end-user support requests in a timely manner, escalating issue for assistance when needed.
Lead and coordinate efforts with various Technical Teams through the lifecycle of a project or event.
Communicate professionally and effectively to the business on the release or status of requests and issues
On call support and maintenance of Enterprise Managed File Transfer System.
Complete moderate to complex analyses to resolve issues as assigned Identify opportunities to optimize job and automation of processes.
Validate the schedule, delivery and encryption method meet requirements and align with company standards and security protocols
Additional Job Description
Bachelors degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.
Typically requires a minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience deploying and/or administrating infrastructure solutions
Relevant certification is preferred.
Requires strong knowledge and experience with multiple infrastructure solutions.
Ability to lead and drive complex projects across multiple technologies.
Server Administration of Microsoft Windows Servers.
Administration and Configuration of Linux OS
Firewall / DNS / NetScaler / SSL Knowledge
Knowledge and Experience Supporting and Implementing Websites (Microsoft IIS) SQL Knowledge.
Experience with scripting technologies highly recommended (e.g PowerShell, VBscript)
Experience Supporting Secure Managed File Transfer.
