WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform routine, extended and ambulatory EEGs, Video EEGs and studies
- Explain testing procedure for all neurodiagnostic studies to patient and family using age-appropriate guidelines.
- Accurately record pertinent history from the patient.
- Set-up patient for appropriate study to include patient, paperwork, room, and equipment.
- Accurately apply electrodes according to the International 10-20 measurement system to record EEG.
- Run studies with appropriate documentation in the study, observation of the patient, and troubleshootingskills
- Distinguish normal from abnormal studies
- Demonstrate proper cleaning procedures for the patient, room, setup room and equipment after each study
- Adhere to proper infection control practices
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Travel to different locations within tri-state area
- 2 years of EEG experience
- Graduate from an accredited END program or Associate degree in a health-related field (preferred)
- Board Certified (ABRET certification preferred)
- Must be covid immunized and boosted
