Project and Applications Engineer

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Role:

• Collaborate with commercial team to evaluate and develop technical propositions and generate solutions that increase the designs performance and reliability.  
• Investigate the interconnection which includes modifications to existing design concepts that are applicable to each site
• Work with switchgear manufacturers to develop innovative designs and costing that are scalable to many jobs and customer sites. This includes working at varying voltage levels.
• Manage engineering consultants in the preparation of detailed engineering and construction drawings and specifications
  
  

Requirements:

• Expertise in designing and constructing renewable energy projects, particularly Solar and Battery Storage systems.
• Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources and their integration within a Microgrid to enhance efficiency.
• Familiarity with emission standards from both utility operations and DERs.
• Understanding of control systems for DERs and how they can be leveraged to achieve specific operational goals, providing economic benefits to both the company and clients.
• Experience in submitting interconnection applications and analysing utility reports, including Detailed, Facility, and System Impact Studies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project success.
