Sales Director Renewable Energy Projects
Pay : $230,000 p/a + quarterly commission and annual company bonuses.
Contract type: Permanent/ Indefinite
Location: San Francisco, CA
As a Sales Director you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our renewable energy business. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with key clients and partners within the utility, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of experienced B2B sales professionals.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
- Set and track sales targets and quotas.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Business Development:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the utility, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at utility companies, independent power producers (IPPs), and corporate clients.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Proactively address client needs and concerns.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and business development, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong sales teams.
- Deep understanding of the solar and energy storage markets within the utility, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to travel as needed.
