Qualifications

• Experience in a Support Environment or similar experience in a System Administrator Role

Unix/Linux skills

• configuration
• maintenance
• working with CLI
• understands Linux Architecture

Networking understanding or experience

• basic protocol understanding
• definition of protocols

OSI Layer understanding

• Understands or has worked with DNS
• Understands basic Security Concepts
• Understands Web Servers, Dispatcher, Load Balancing, CDN

• Understands or has worked with SSL/TLS Certificates
• AWS/Azure Experience
• Scripting with Bash, Python, Perl
• CI / CD tools Jenkins, Maven, GIT
• Hosting Experience
• CDN Experience (Akamai, Fastly, Cloudfront, Imperva)
• Understands basic Monitoring Tools and how to use (Splunk, NewRelic, Nagios, Kibana/Elasticsearch)
• Understands or has experience with Virtualization, concepts etc
