Responsibilities:

The Loans Onboarding Expert (Cash Lenders) is responsible for working with solution managers to on-board each cash lender client . This requires them to:

Conduct a risk assessment of partners

  • Gather documents from the partner

  • Analyze business continuity

  • Describe the loan process

  • Gather and analyze information on loan repayment rates

  • Support the AML expert in developing the AML policy

  • Share information with internal experts (AML, Credit risk, etc.) to complete the Partner Risk Assessment


On-board the partners (KYC, etc.)

  • Gather documents from the partner

  • Ensure KYC requirements are met


Conclude legal and commercial agreement with partners

  • Present commercial approach. Manage the commercial negotiations. Present deviations to senior mgmt.

  • Present legal documents. be the interface between the partner and Netbank lawyers. Manage the legal negotiations.


Confirm technical design / gaps

  • Describe the loan process flows (in the Loan Partner Technical Design doc)

  • Work with the technical teams to identify and resolve any gaps

  • Sponsor CRFs needed to close these gaps


Confirm operational design / gaps

  • Draft the Loan Operations Manual

  • Confirm with the Loan Operations team

  • Dry-run process flows


Implement pilots with partners

  • Register any findings and resolve


Support risk reviews

  • Support the risk team in the Quarterly Loan Program Review

  • Identify implications from the Loan Program Reviews and improve the loan processes to reduce risk


Outputs will include:

  • Partner risk assessments

  • Process flow maps

  • Change Request forms

  • Loan manuals

  • Contracts

Metrics to monitor

  • Turnaround time for new loan partnerships

Required skills and qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Information Technology. IT/ Systems experience in Banking background preferable also.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 4 year of experience in loan product design.

  • Capable of effectively communicating with various concerned units to relay or escalate issues and concerns.

  • Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) is a plus.
