Practice Setting

Role Summary
We are seeking General Internists / Internal Medicine Physicians to join a busy outpatient clinic in Oshawa. Physicians will step into a well-organized, fast-paced environment with strong infrastructure and immediate patient demand.
This opportunity is ideal for physicians who want to practice in a collaborative setting while maintaining professional independence. The clinic supports physicians with the systems, staff, and patient flow needed to build a successful and sustainable outpatient practice.
The practice has a clear focus on cardiometabolic care and diabetes management. This is not an exploratory medicine practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care for adult patients
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Deliver longitudinal care for patients with complex medical needs and multiple comorbidities
- Support patients requiring cardiometabolic care and diabetes management
- Order and interpret laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests
- Develop treatment plans, manage follow-up care, and coordinate referrals as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the clinic EMR
- Work collaboratively with clinic staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

Compensation

Qualifications
- MD or equivalent with training in Internal Medicine
- CPSO licensure, or eligibility for independent licensure in Ontario
- Physicians trained in the UK or USA are strongly encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical judgment and confidence managing adult patients in an outpatient setting
- Interest or experience in cardiometabolic care and diabetes management is an asset
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred, collaborative approach
- Senior physicians are encouraged to apply; all qualified candidates will be considered
