Role Summary

We are seeking General Internists / Internal Medicine Physicians to join a busy outpatient clinic in Oshawa. Physicians will step into a well-organized, fast-paced environment with strong infrastructure and immediate patient demand.

This opportunity is ideal for physicians who want to practice in a collaborative setting while maintaining professional independence. The clinic supports physicians with the systems, staff, and patient flow needed to build a successful and sustainable outpatient practice.

The practice has a clear focus on cardiometabolic care and diabetes management. This is not an exploratory medicine practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care for adult patients
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Deliver longitudinal care for patients with complex medical needs and multiple comorbidities
  • Support patients requiring cardiometabolic care and diabetes management
  • Order and interpret laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests
  • Develop treatment plans, manage follow-up care, and coordinate referrals as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the clinic EMR
  • Work collaboratively with clinic staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent with training in Internal Medicine
  • CPSO licensure, or eligibility for independent licensure in Ontario
  • Physicians trained in the UK or USA are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Strong clinical judgment and confidence managing adult patients in an outpatient setting
  • Interest or experience in cardiometabolic care and diabetes management is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred, collaborative approach
