Jo Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer (AWS, NodeJS, React)
Location: 100% Remote, Canada
Experience: 7 to 10+ Years
Rate: $70 to $80 CAD PH

Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect and scale cloud-native solutions powering modern water management workflows used globally. This role is backend-focused, with strong ownership of user-facing application layers and distributed system design. The selected candidate will drive architecture decisions and deliver production-grade systems on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable, distributed backend services on AWS using serverless and containerized architectures.
• Design and implement high-volume data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain modern web applications using React and NodeJS.
• Lead technical initiatives, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Execute system design for high-availability, fault-tolerant cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, production-ready solutions.
• Drive code quality through structured code reviews and technical governance.

Must-Have Skills.

• 7 to 10+ years of software development experience with strong system architecture expertise.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong backend development expertise using NodeJS.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with React and a modern front-end ecosystem.
• Experience implementing cloud-native architectures in production environments.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS IoT services.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Exposure to serverless-first architecture patterns and containerized deployments.
