Job Title: Senior UX/UI Designer (Visual Design & Design Systems)
Job Location: Hybrid - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Experience: 6+ years
Rate: 50 to 55 CAD PH

Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer specializing in visual design and design systems to drive high-quality user experiences for enterprise-grade platforms. This role focuses on crafting scalable, cohesive interfaces and contributing to AI-driven product experiences within a Fortune 500 environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive visual design excellence across product interfaces, ensuring high-quality and consistent user experiences
  • Lead the development and evolution of scalable, reusable design system components aligned with product needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to deliver end-to-end design solutions
  • Architect and execute UI patterns that support AI-driven workflows and emerging product capabilities
  • Contribute to platform-level design thinking to ensure consistency and cohesion across multiple products
  • Present design concepts, prototypes, and final solutions to stakeholders with a clear rationale and expected outcomes
  • Engage in continuous experimentation to refine and optimize user experience across the platform

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design with a strong focus on visual design
  • Proven expertise in delivering high-quality product UI with strong attention to typography, color theory, hierarchy, and Gestalt principles
  • Hands-on experience building and contributing to scalable design systems and reusable UI components
  • Proficiency in creating prototypes across multiple fidelity levels, from wireframes to production-ready designs
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in agile product environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and justify design decisions to diverse stakeholders
  • Exposure to designing for mobile platforms and AI-driven interfaces

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in interaction design, including wireframing, user flows, and usability testing
  • Familiarity with animation or motion design principles for enhanced user experience
  • Exposure to platforms within the architecture, engineering, or construction domains
  • Experience working on large-scale enterprise or platform-based products
