Client Service Specialist

 Job Description:

We are in search of a Client Services Specialist. In this role, you'll join a dedicated team supporting organizations in Energy & Materials, Health & Resilience, and Work & Prosperity. You'll help amplify their impact by connecting them with key resources like technology and talent. Collaborating with experts in technology, investment, and program development, you'll drive shared goals to empower organizations leading positive change across industries and advancing a vision of a better world.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Engagement:

  • Foster positive, trusting, and collaborative relationships with portfolio leadership, technology leads, and venture team members.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the venture industry, sector, region, and overall operating context.
  • Familiarize with the full range of technology and talent support offerings available to Foundation portfolio ventures and assist with deploying these offerings as needed.
  • Facilitate communications with portfolio ventures to ensure regular milestone check-ins and to scope out engagement opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic matchmaker, connecting portfolio ventures with the most suitable support services to maximize value for both the venture and the Company.
  • Document recommendations and outcomes in partnership success plans, leveraging the Company's in-kind support.

Operational:

  • Support a portfolio-focused approach by updating and maintaining partnership resources across internal systems (such as PowerPoint, CRM systems, Excel, Airtable, etc.).
  • Collect and document feedback from completed engagements to assess the success and impact of technology and talent support provided.
  • Identify insights and trends to share with the Foundation team and broader Company community, enhancing activities like impact measurement, storytelling, award nominations, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in supporting entrepreneurs, social impact innovators, ventures, or nonprofits.
  • Passionate about sustainability and social impact topics, including climate change and workforce development, with relevant experience.
  • A service-oriented mindset, committed to responsiveness and supporting portfolio needs to achieve desired outcomes.
  • A proactive, eager team player with a continuous learning and improvement outlook.
  • Proficiency in data management tools, such as Fluxx, Airtable, HubSpot, and Microsoft Excel.
