Rate: CAD 80 - 88 per hour

Role Summary: NearSource is seeking an experienced Enterprise Platform Systems Architect to lead the assessment, design, and evolution of enterprise systems, tooling, and operating models for a Fortune 500 client. This role will drive the transformation of cross-functional collaboration, information management, workflow optimization, and platform delivery by creating a scalable, integrated ecosystem that supports engineering and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the current enterprise tooling ecosystem, workflows, and information architecture across Technical Program Management, Portfolio Management, User Experience, Analytics & Data, AI Agility, and Engineering.
  • Evaluate existing systems to identify process inefficiencies, tooling gaps, redundant workflows, and integration opportunities.
  • Architect a future-state enterprise operating model that improves collaboration, governance, information flow, and organizational visibility.
  • Design scalable workflow architectures that enable efficient cross-functional execution and informed decision-making.
  • Lead the evaluation and optimization of enterprise platforms including Jira, GitHub, Airtable, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Splunk, and AWS.
  • Define enterprise integration strategies that improve automation, interoperability, and data consistency across platforms.
  • Deliver high-impact prototypes, pilot implementations, and quick-win initiatives that demonstrate measurable business value.
  • Develop a prioritized roadmap for enterprise tooling modernization, automation, governance, AI-enabled capabilities, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and drive consensus.
  • Present architecture recommendations, implementation strategies, and executive-level findings to leadership teams.

Must-Have Skills

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience designing enterprise systems and operating models.
  • Proven experience architecting enterprise workflow and collaboration ecosystems.
  • Strong expertise with Jira, GitHub, Confluence, Airtable, Microsoft Teams, Splunk, and AWS.
  • Experience designing scalable information architecture and enterprise integration strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of program management, portfolio management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience implementing workflow automation and process optimization initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex organizations and translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience implementing AI-enabled productivity and workflow automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise governance frameworks and organizational change management.
  • Experience designing knowledge management and information architecture strategies.
  • Exposure to platform engineering organizations supporting large-scale software delivery.
  • Knowledge of enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational dashboards.
  • Experience leading digital transformation initiatives within large enterprise environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success designing enterprise operating models and systems architecture.
  • Strong background in enterprise collaboration platforms and systems integration.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering strategic recommendations with measurable business outcomes.
