Senior C++ Developer (Visualization & Systems)

Hybrid (3 days remote), Toronto, Ontario

Role Summary: NearSource is seeking a Senior C++ Developer (Visualization & Systems) to drive the integration of next-generation 2D/3D visualization technologies into enterprise-scale applications. In this hybrid Toronto-based role, you will collaborate with global engineering teams to enhance performance, streamline data handling, and deliver high-impact solutions for millions of end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the integration of advanced C++ SDKs for 2D/3D data visualization into enterprise-grade applications
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to define migration strategies and ensure seamless adoption of new visualization frameworks
  • Implement solutions for rendering both legacy and next-generation formats with high reliability and performance
  • Design and execute robust testing strategies, including benchmarking, regression validation, and system efficiency analysis
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and backend data services supporting visualization workflows
  • Produce technical documentation on integration best practices, migration guidelines, and performance optimization
  • Contribute actively in Agile development, fostering engineering excellence and continuous improvement

Must-Have Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5 to 10 Years of professional software development experience in C++
  • Expertise in modern C++ (C++14 or newer), including memory management, concurrency, and performance profiling
  • Proven track record in integrating SDKs or complex libraries into large-scale applications
  • Strong understanding of distributed software architecture and system-level interactions
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Advanced problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Background in 2D/3D graphics, geometry processing, or visualization systems
  • Familiarity with data streaming protocols, compression methods, and client-server architectures
  • Experience building cross-platform applications (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Knowledge of file format design and serialization frameworks (e.g., Protobuf, FlatBuffers)
