Senior Java Engineer Chile

Our mission is to revolutionize how patients interact with the healthcare system by delivering a new, cloud-based patient portal. This platform will help patients find the care they need when they need it, provide the right information at the right moment, and dramatically reduce administrative burdens for both patients and healthcare providers. We achieve this by leveraging Machine Learning, open APIs for ecosystem integrations, and prioritizing patient needs.

Responsibilities

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Migration Automation Streamlining and automating data migration processes.

• Control Plan Automation Simplifying customer onboarding through automated provisioning.

• Personal Health Records Developing and managing secure, accessible health records.

• Multi-EHR & International Expansion Supporting integrations across multiple electronic health record (EHR) systems and expanding to new markets (Germany, Australia, Canada).

• Technical Leadership Mentoring and guiding team members, ensuring best practices in development and deployment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Java development experience in building and operating highly available, high-traffic, customer-facing web applications and services.

• 5+ years of experience in JavaScript and TypeScript for front-end and service development.

• 3+ years of progressive leadership experience as a team lead or technical lead, mentoring developers and driving architectural decisions.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, particularly in a cloud environment.

• Experience working with AWS and Oracle Cloud.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment and debugging.

• Developers are expected to write automated tests as part of the definition of done.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for deployment into development environments.

• B2-level English proficiency or higher.
