Our client is seeking a skilled Accountant with strong accounting and tax compliance experience to support their portfolio of foreign-owned entities. You will play a key role in monthly bookkeeping, SII filings, statutory reporting, and client compliance. Your work will directly impact accurate, timely financial reporting and ongoing compliance with local tax and accounting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bookkeeping and maintain accounting records in accordance with accounting standards and locally adopted IFRS.
  • Prepare and file monthly SII tax obligations.
  • Prepare annual income tax returns and supporting Declaraciones Juradas.
  • Prepare annual financial statements, monthly reporting packs, and supporting schedules for foreign parent reporting, including local-to-IFRS or US GAAP mapping where required.
  • Reconcile payroll postings to the general ledger, coordinate Previred remittances with the payroll team, and manage withholding obligations for professional fees and non-resident payments.
  • Respond to SII notifications, support information requests and audits, and communicate directly with international clients and referral partners in English regarding compliance requirements, filing status, and deliverables.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Auditing (Contador Auditor or Contador Público) from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance, ideally within a professional services or outsourced accounting environment.
  • Hands-on experience with online platforms and accounting software such as Softland, Nubox, Defontana, or SAP.
  • Fluent Spanish/Portuguese and professional-level English, with the ability to communicate accounting and tax requirements clearly to international stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and fixed monthly and annual deadlines.
  • Experience preparing statutory filings, financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules with a high degree of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global EOR, PEO, or multi-country expansion service providers.
  • Familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP reporting conversion for foreign parent companies.
  • Experience working with foreign-owned entities and non-resident shareholders.
  • Familiarity with non-resident withholding requirements and double tax treaty analysis or relief procedures.
  • Experience maintaining dormant or minimum-activity entities and managing their ongoing compliance obligations.
  • Experience with chart of accounts mapping and other non-standard accounting or tax reporting projects.
  • Prior experience communicating directly with international clients or global referral partners.
