We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with experience in technical sales and a strong understanding of the mining industry to join our growing team. You will play a key role in identifying customer needs, delivering tailored technical solutions, and driving revenue growth through strategic client engagement. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, long-term business development, and market expansion within the mining sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product demonstrations and deliver customized technical proposals that address customer challenges and operational requirements.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth.
- Collaborate with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to support successful solution implementation and share market insights.
- Identify, qualify, and develop sales opportunities while contributing to pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the mining sector.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to strengthen market presence and generate new business opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle to effectively communicate product value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales involving pumps, valves, or piping systems.
- Strong understanding of the mining industry and its operational environment.
- Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and growing business within the mining sector.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote mining sites and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales management tools.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Experience supporting complex technical sales cycles in industrial or heavy-equipment environments.
- Established network of contacts within the mining industry.
- Experience contributing to commercial strategy, pricing, and contract negotiations.
