About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controller with strong, hands-on experience working for U.S.-based companies.

The ideal candidate has managed accounting operations for U.S. businesses and has experience with U.S. GAAP, U.S. taxes, acquisitions, purchase accounting, and integrating acquired companies into existing accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. accounting operations, including month-end close, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax requirements, including multi-state sales tax.
• Lead or support acquisitions and purchase accounting.
• Integrate acquired companies into existing accounting systems, processes, reporting, and controls.
• Manage multiple legal entities, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
• Lead annual audits and work directly with external auditors.
• Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Partner with executive leadership and lead the accounting team.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Previous experience working for a U.S.-based company and managing U.S. accounting operations.
• Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.
• Hands-on U.S. tax experience, particularly multi-state sales tax.
• Acquisition and purchase accounting experience.
• Experience integrating acquired companies into existing accounting processes and systems.
• Experience with multiple entities, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
• Strong English communication skills.

We are specifically looking for candidates with direct U.S. business experience — not candidates whose only exposure to the U.S. is working with U.S. GAAP from outside the U.S.
