About the Role

NAXCON requires a Machine Learning Engineer to design, optimize, and deploy AI models for edge computing environments. You will work across the full ML pipeline from algorithm design to optimized deployment on resource-constrained hardware. This role bridges the gap between
algorithm research and real-world edge implementation, tackling challenges in model compression, low-precision inference, and resource optimization.

Tasks:

  • Design and implement machine learning models for specialized applications
  • Apply optimization techniques to reduce model footprint and computational requirements
  • Deploy and validate models on target hardware platforms
  • Measure and document model performance, accuracy, and resource utilization
  • Develop software interfaces for model execution and runtime management
  • Establish validation protocols and performance benchmarking methodologies
  • Document algorithm performance and optimization trade-offs
  • Contribute to technical specifications and design documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related
    field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of ML/deep learning engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency with major machine learning frameworks and tools
  • Hands-on experience with model optimization techniques for embedded deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to implement models on resource-constrained devices
  • Solid understanding of low-precision arithmetic and quantization methods
  • Familiarity with embedded systems constraints and real-time processing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in computer vision, image processing, or signal analysis
  • Experience with specialized domain applications (e.g., Earth observation, remote
    sensing)
  • Knowledge of hardware acceleration for deep learning inference
  • Familiarity with model serving and inference runtime systems
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment for ML systems
