Technical Editor (m/f/d)

Position: Technical Editor

Location: Bremen, Germany

Tasks:

• Analysing the requirements for the portion to be processed
• Planning the creation from draft to final delivery, including reviews with the specialist departments, taking into account civil and military logistical requirements and the demands of the Austrian Federal Railways
• Preparation of external technical customer documentation for all RME business areas, such as:
• Operating and maintenance manuals, as well as online help and complete system or training documents
• Preparation of maintenance and servicing plans and scaffolding instructions
• Updating and maintenance of existing technical documentation
• Preparation of spare parts lists/catalogues
• Preparation of technical content in a comprehensible, target group-oriented, clear and logical form
• Review of German and English technical documentation from internal/external customers and suppliers
• Coordination of the results with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Creation of documentation for customer training
• Creation and editing of photos/graphics using graphics tools and CAD viewing applications for visualisation
• Output of customer documentation in digital form, print media and tablets
• Handling of databases, content management systems and their administration

Requirements:

• Completed technical training with further training as a technical editor and initial professional experience
• Initial experience as a technical editor in the field of defence technology products
• Good knowledge of technical documentation and ILS as well as ÖAG specifications
• Good knowledge of standards and regulations for defence and non-defence products
• TDV, H011, M011, Machinery Directive, DIN EN82079
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Very good written and spoken English and German
• Knowledge of electronic documentation creation
• Specialist knowledge of image processing and CAD
• Experience in the use of databases
• Ability to work in a team
