Project – SAP Consultant: R/3 to S/4 Cutover, I-AEP, Infrastructure – Expansion and

Renewal Projects – Bern

Workload: 100%

Start: October 1, 2026

End: January 21, 2027, with option to extend

Location: Bern, on-site 2 days per week

Tasks:

• As a Cutover I-AEP, you will manage the operational development of the cutover work packages (procedures / cutover workarounds) within the business unit for the transformation from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA and represent the business unit's interests in the overarching cutover
• Ensures the quality, completeness, and consistency of the developed procedures (including dependencies on other work packages).
• Leads and coordinates the development of procedures within the business, from conceptual design to completion.
• Plans and facilitates the necessary workshops with subject matter experts from the relevant departments.
• Engages the relevant subject matter experts from the business unit, coordinates their contributions, and ensures the necessary resources are available through the BO S/4@AEP.
• Monitors adherence to the timeline and milestones in accordance with specifications from the S/4@AEP core team
  as well as the compatibility of the RE4 cutover program timeline, and escalates deviations early on.
• Represents the concerns, framework conditions, and status of the I-AEP business unit within the overarching cutover and the overall program.
• Communicates decisions, requirements, and risks from the cutover program back to the business unit and ensures their implementation.
• Serves as the central point of contact between the business unit and the cutover organization.
  

Requirements:

• Solid background in computer science or business administration (preferably a university or university of applied sciences degree)
• Strong skills in project, program, and transformation management, as well as in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
• 10+ years of professional experience in the implementation of transformation projects
• Ability to make decisions and assert oneself in challenging situations
• Excellent coordination, organizational, and communication skills
  Deep understanding of processes, dependencies, and operational impacts
• Extensive expertise in risk and escalation management
• A structured, solution-oriented, and resilient approach to work, even under high time pressure—with the ability to maintain an overview and set clear priorities
• Knowledge of cutover implementation for SAP transformations
• Experience with SAP Activate or comparable transformation methods (phase model, Q-Gates, freeze/cutover concepts)
• Knowledge of the relevant SAP modules for the involved streams (PS/PPM, PM/EAM, MM/PUR, SD/LOG, FI/CO)—at least at a conceptual level—to be able to assess dependencies between action items
• Experience working with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project)
• Technical leadership skills and the ability to serve as a role model
• High level of initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong implementation skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to work
• Very good German and good English skills
