Senior Service Manager – Enterprise Mobility & IT Service Operations

Position Overview

The role is responsible for managing and continuously improving enterprise mobility and end-to-end IT service operations within a complex and security-sensitive IT environment. The position supports the full lifecycle of IT services, including service definition, implementation, operation, optimization, and service transition activities.

The focus is on ensuring stable and high-quality delivery of mobile communication, application management, and digital workplace services while coordinating stakeholders, vendors, service providers, and technical teams across the operational service chain.

Key Responsibilities

Service Lifecycle Management

  • Support the planning, implementation, operation, continuous improvement, and potential decommissioning of IT services and service functions
  • Ensure compliance with agreed service levels, operational standards, and contractual obligations
  • Manage and optimize service delivery processes to ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate operational and technical activities across service providers, technical teams, and stakeholders
  • Support escalation management and resolution of operational issues

Operational & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate agile and project-based activities within cross-functional service and operations teams
  • Act as a central communication interface between customers, operations teams, vendors, manufacturers, and service providers
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, roadmap meetings, operational reviews, and coordination sessions
  • Support procurement coordination, vendor management, and operational planning activities
  • Prepare reports, analyses, presentations, and service-related documentation
  • Support service transition and change management activities

Project & Service Improvement Activities

  • Support project planning, tracking, prioritization, and coordination of operational activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for service operations and delivery processes
  • Coordinate reporting activities, KPI tracking, and service performance evaluations
  • Assist in technical and operational concept creation, evaluations, and implementation planning
  • Support quality assurance and operational governance activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field; alternatively equivalent professional IT experience
  • Several years of experience in IT service management or enterprise IT operations
  • Experience with ITIL-based service management methodologies
  • Experience in agile coordination, Product Owner activities, or project management
  • Practical experience managing complex IT service environments and operational processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with reporting, operational governance, and service lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and agile frameworks
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Visio
  • Very good German language skills and good English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management certification
  • Experience in enterprise mobility management or application management environments
  • Experience with operational service delivery and lifecycle coordination
  • Experience in procurement support, vendor coordination, and service transition processes
  • Knowledge of reporting, service-level management, and operational KPI tracking
  • Experience working in structured and compliance-driven enterprise environments
