Position: Mechanical Engineer

Type: Full-time/on-site

Tasks:

  • Development of individual components of digital vision systems (in particular camera monitoring systems) for exterior and interior areas in cooperation with various process partners
  • Search for new implementable technical solutions in cooperation with various internal and external process partners
  • Search for components, processes and suppliers for new technical solutions
  • Picking up and evaluating new technologies for product generation
  • Responsibility for parts lists, assembly drawings and product costs and their variants as well as variant evaluations
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and a uniform project presentation to customers
  • Implementation of electronic components (ECU / display / camera) in the product in accordance with interface definitions
  • Development and creation of new models (3D & 2D) of the ADAS components (CMS components - structural components, cosmetic components)
  • Maintenance of existing ADAS components (CMS components - structural components, cosmetic components) in Best Cost Location
  • Project/product specific coordination of colleagues in Best Cost Locations
  • Detailed task definition to CAD design team as part of the development process

Requirements:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or plastics technology or comparable qualification
  • Very good knowledge of materials, processes, design (CAD), use of simulation tools
  • Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 and NX9/11)
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Confident in using MS Word, Excel PowerPoint and Project
  • Assertiveness and goal-oriented way of working.
  • Familiarity with ticket management system
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
