Tasks:

• Analysis, further development and optimization of the logistics organization, structures and processes at the site from a holistic perspective
• Contact person at the site for all questions relating to logistics processes
• Budget and cost responsibility
• Efficient management of external service providers in the context of logistics
• Technical and disciplinary management of logistics at the Rheinmetall Electronics site in Bremen, combined with the development, qualification and management of employees in the area of responsibility
• Overall responsibility for internal and external plant logistics, deployment control and the associated support processes for on-time and quantity-based customer supply
• Initiating, planning and implementing projects in the area of responsibility to continuously improve logistics performance
• KPI controlling and improvement work on inventories, delivery performance and logistics costs
• Logistics cost/investment planning, controlling and optimization for the entire division
• Collaboration in centrally initiated logistics projects
• Ensuring compliance with company standards as well as occupational health and safety and environmental protection guidelines and other legal provisions in the area of responsibility
• Ensuring efficient planning, order processing and execution of logistics processes
• Controlling the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of logistics process chains of domestic and foreign suppliers via the externally organized logistics functions
• System-based monitoring and analysis as well as identification and elimination of potential bottlenecks
• Derivation of business parameters for the logistics processes
• Active supplier and escalation management
• Occupational health and safety training and integration into the organization of new employees
• Resource planning, prioritization and responsibility (e.g. personnel, investments, costs) for the department's tasks, taking into account the department's objectives
• Responsibility for achieving departmental targets and increasing departmental efficiency and quality. Collaboration in the strategic orientation of the division. Identification, analysis, recommendation and implementation of current trends and optimization potential (e.g. technical, organizational, functional)

Requirements:

• Several years of management experience
• Business fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Analytical and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Successfully completed degree in business administration or industrial engineering or comparable academic degree (e.g. Master's degree)
• Management experience in a comparable function
• High level of commitment and initiative
• High cost awareness and result orientation
• Many years (> 8 years) of adequate and sound professional experience in the global logistics environment, automotive industry desirable
• Very good user knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Confident personality with strong communication and social skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Goal-oriented and independent way of working as well as assertiveness
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Willingness to travel worldwid
