Project Engineer Packaging Specialist (m/w/d)

Position: Project Engineer Packaging Specialist (m/w/d)

Location: Gersthofen, Germany

Field: Food Industry

Type: Full-time/on-site

Tasks:

• Planning, designing, assembling and commissioning packaging lines/machines and large-scale technical systems within Europe, taking into account safety, cost, deadline and quality specifications and adherence to processes
• Solving packaging-related problems, supporting the plant teams and dealing with packaging-related issues
• Developing packaging concepts by evaluating the costs of packaging solutions and preparing analyses and evaluations
• Monitoring KPIs and working with internal specialist departments to develop and continuously improve packaging standards
• Independent management of development projects in the packaging environment in close cooperation with external suppliers and service providers as well as the logistics, production, purchasing and marketing departments and participation in sustainability initiatives
  

Requirements:

• Successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in packaging, materials, mechanical engineering or another technical or scientific field
• Solid professional experience in packaging technology and specialist knowledge of packaging machines and packaging materials as well as strong technical know-how
• Knowledge of GMP, food safety, food quality and hygiene as well as manufacturing principles would be advantageous
• Project management in international, cross-functional teams with a clear structure and an eye for detail
• Fluency in English and preferably a good command of German
