For a marine client in vessel design, engineering and manufacturing in the Netherlands we are looking for a cybersecurity expert to enhance the security of a Multi-Purpose Vessel (MPV), ensuring compliance to latest IMO and EU cybersecurity regulations. The vessel to be built will be commissioned in 2026 and requires a Cyber Resilient classification. The expert ensures the OT-IT network works in compliance with network security, endpoint protection, secure communications, backup & recovery, access control, cyber awareness and regulatory compliance.

Job Title: Cybersecurity Project manager (Maritime Sector)

Key Responsibilities:

• Advisor on OT hardware selection for ship design
• Main contact suppliers and supplier stakeholder management
• Monitor and protect ship IT-OT networks against cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance to risk assessments according IEC 62443 & NIS2 Directive.
• Develop cybersecurity policies for onboard and remote ship systems.
• Develop training for crew members on cybersecurity best practices.
• Cyber incident reporting made available for authorities within 24 hours
• Compliance to New EU cybersecurity regulations for ship certification

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
• Experience with ICS/SCADA security and maritime cybersecurity frameworks.
• Familiarity with IMO MEG 74, IEC 62443, BV659 and EU Cyber Resilience Act.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Language:English (C1/C2)
• Language:Dutch (C1/C2)
• Understanding of Dutch collaboration culture
• Years of experience 10+
