Systems Engineer Azure

Position: Systems Engineer Azure

Location: Zürich, Switzerland  On-Site

Workload: 60%

Tasks:

• Addressing Azure recommendations/measures from various sources (Azure Advisor, Defender for Cloud, pending issues from information security, Entra ID security recommendations)
• Cloud organization & governance tasks (identifying unnecessary resources in Azure and M365, sustainably implementing Azure tags & policies across all subscriptions)
• Automation jobs in the IaaS and PaaS areas (evaluation: Function or Logic App, sustainably implementing low-code solutions, implementing automation in the production environment)
• Onboarding new employees (from mid-September training on the Azure environment, knowledge transfer of Azure operations (compute, storage, networking), potentially training on Container/AKS if knowledge is available)
• Review of the Microsoft 365 environment (recommending and implementing improvements in the areas of security and administration of Office, Teams, SharePoint, introducing Microsoft Purview)

Requirements/Skills:

• Higher education in (business) informatics (University, ETH, FH)
• Strong customer orientation and high-quality standards
• Extensive and long-term experience in the administration & operation of Azure resources, Microsoft 365, and AKS
• Experience working in incident and change management according to ITIL
• Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written, understands Swiss German.
