Role Responsibilities and Requirements:

  1. Core Focus Areas:
    • Land Applications: Specializing in complex, international projects.
    • Project Management Methodology: Managing and steering projects at the highest level (Level 3, Senior Project Manager).
    • Project Complexity:
      • Not necessarily high monetary volumes, but technically and organizationally demanding projects.
      • Focus on smaller production quantities (currently 100150 units), avoiding mass production.
      • Parallelized project execution, moving away from traditional "Waterfall" methods.
  2. Required Skills and Competencies:
    • Project Leadership: Independent management and accountability for complex projects.
    • International Collaboration:
      • Negotiating and communicating with international stakeholders, end clients (national and international public sector clients), senior management, and the board.
      • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
    • Technical and Business Acumen: In-depth understanding of technical and electro-optical systems (e.g., displays, sensors).
    • Risk Assessment and Problem-Solving:
      • Ability to evaluate project status, identify issues, and develop actionable solutions.
      • Confidently present project statuses and risks across all management levels.
    • Leadership Qualities: Full responsibility for the project team, including interpersonal dynamics and team performance.
  3. Specific Requirements:
    • Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in managing complex development projects; 5 years preferred.
    • Certifications: Proven qualifications in project management methodologies such as Scrum, PM, GPM, or equivalent are required.
    • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools.
    • Language Skills: Proficiency in both German and English to lead teams effectively in both languages.
    • Travel Readiness: Low, approximately 1-2 times per month.
    • Remote Work: Primarily on-site during the initial phase, with up to 6 days of remote work per month possible after the onboarding period.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • The project manager is involved from the acquisition phase onward.
  • Responsible for the overall coordination and management of the project, including communication with technical managers and other departments.
  • The primary goal is the timely and successful completion of the project, even under high-risk conditions due to tight client deadlines.
