Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks:

• Developing electromechanical components, assemblies and in some cases simple segments in line with requirements and production within the quality, deadline and cost framework using CAD tools:
• Analyzing the overarching requirements and creating the 3D implementation concept
• Developing production-ready design solutions, taking into account the reuse of existing components
• Support in estimating the development and manufacturing costs for the unit in question
• Design and selection of suitable standard and purchased parts for the responsible unit
• Binding coordination of interfaces with other internal departments and externally with suppliers and customers
• Co-decision in the selection of production suppliers and support of the procurement process as technical contact person
• Technical review of the technical product specifications created in accordance with standards
• Carrying out product data processing in SAP PLM
• Managing the subcontractors commissioned with development and/or production
• Planning, controlling and supporting integration activities for the initial product
• Assisting with qualification and acceptance by the customer for the unit responsible
• Carrying out requested checks and tests for the responsible unit during development (engineering tests)
• Support and technical review of the technical external customer documentation for the responsible unit
• Carrying out the series production readiness of the responsible unit including preparation for the testability and the start of series production
• Collaboration in the processing of quotations

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics or comparable
• First design experience in mechanical or plant engineering
• First professional experience in 3D CAD design (possibly Siemens NX)
• Good knowledge of SAP-PLM
• Understanding of mechanical engineering, optics and electrical engineering
• Good knowledge in the areas of construction / mechanics / materials technology
• Good knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office applications
• Good written and spoken English and German language skills
• Time and cost-oriented way of working
