Job description and tasks
For our client in Oberkochen (alternatively the position can be filled in Munich or Ulm) we are looking for a FOSS & Software Licenses Expert (m/f/d).

The team is responsible for the alignment of processes and methodologies for collaboration within the development departments in the Optronics division, but also with their stakeholders. This includes workload and resource planning, the continuous further development of the  product development process, the R&D cost overview, systems management PLM/CAD and engineering reporting. The Focal Point department is also responsible for defining and implementing. IT security requirements in the products as well as FOSS compliance within the development area of the Group

Tasks:

• Point of contact for the use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in relevant
• SW development projects
• Evaluation of the use of FOSS in development projects, partly in cooperation with cybersecurity experts
• License law evaluation of FOSS components
• Responsibility for the approval process for the use of FOSS
• Collaboration with the central FOSS department
• Tracking of deployed FOSS projects with regard to up-to-dateness and informing the respective

Vocational training
Commercial training at least vocational training or comparable qualification at least vocational training

Degree course
Comparable qualification at least Bachelor's degree program

IT
MS-Office min. detailed Specialized knowledge
Knowledge of programming in C++, Java advantageous

Language skills
German at least business fluent
English at least business fluent

Knowledge of
Knowledge or training in the creation and interpretation of contracts and / or license texts

Further qualifications
Knowledge of computer science and software development
Good knowledge of the use of FOSS and its license models - mandatory
Very good analytical skills as well as process-oriented and independent
way of working
Open Source experience - mandatory
